Pay attention men, we have laundry tips! Since men and laundry don’t always go well, it’s just not exciting and cool enough to do laundry when you’re already so busy! We understand that, but you will have to do it every now and then because gentlemen, you want to look clean and well-groomed, don’t you? Then do it right the first time before your favorite white shirt suddenly turns pink or your favorite sweater is suddenly 2 sizes too small. We’ll give you some tips and tricks so you can do your laundry in no time.
#1 Sorting
Buy laundry baskets! And throw your clothes in here color by color. Separate white laundry from colored laundry and prevent the white shirt that brings you so much happiness in business from turning salmon pink. Laundry tip: In addition, pay attention to the material. Fine laundry (clothes made of wool), normal laundry (shirts and T-shirts), and heavy laundry (towels and socks) are best washed separately. For delicate laundry there is a special wool program on your washing machine, normal laundry can be washed at 85 or 105 degrees Fahrenheit and coarse laundry can be washed at higher temperatures. Finely woven cotton knits can also be washed on the wool or delicate cycle with low rpm, max 800, and max 85 degrees Fahrenheit. At 85 degrees Fahrenheit, your clothing will just get clean, and low rpm will keep it from “shrinking”. In fact, many sweaters/vests shrink because the rpm is at, say, 1400 and so the fibers pull together.
#2 Check your pockets
If you don’t have a partner to do it, check the contents of your pockets yourself and empty them. All those trinkets left behind every time don’t do the quality of your clothes any good. And your washing machine can also break down if too many metal objects or coins are left in it. By the way, you should take the term “money laundering” quite literally when you throw that beautiful leather wallet into the washing machine.
#3 Dosing is learning
Take advantage of the handy little washing ball that many detergent manufacturers supply with the bottle and stick to it. Be restrained with your detergent! If there are no stains on your clothes, it is enough to use half a scoop of detergent at most. Too much soap is not good for anything. Using too much detergent is not only bad for your washing machine, but it can actually cause stains on your clothes.

Read gentlemen, read! And we don’t mean Esquire, Carros, Men’s Health, or Elsevier, but that little label on the inside of your garment. It is very helpful to know what the symbols hiding in the label of your garment mean. So take a minute and read the summary below carefully. Or print it out and stick it on your washing machine, then you’ll never miss out!
Following these washing tips should do the trick, gentlemen. We’ll also give you some free laundry tips. For example, your bathroom can function perfectly well as a dry cleaner. You then hang up your clothes in your bathroom after a night out. During and after showering, it will automatically be steamed and it will be fresh again before you know it. Ideal for that wool sweater you’d rather not put in the washing machine. Another tip is to wash your jeans. You shouldn’t do this too often. Put your jeans in a pillowcase in your freezer once in a while and the cold of the freezer will kill most of the bacteria without discoloring or fading them. Ox gall soap works perfectly for stubborn stains in (especially white) clothing. Dampen the stain, rub the soap on the stain and let it soak in gently. Then rinse well or machine wash and the stain is gone. Ox gall soap is simply available in the better supermarkets. Also, horizontal drying is best, especially for fine knits of wool or cotton.
