The Christmas days are approaching! If you’re a true kitchen wizard and have already planned your Christmas menu months ago, then you don’t need to read this blog. If you have no idea yet about what to prepare, and besides a lack of creativity, you also lack cooking experience and time, we have a few solutions for you, especially if you’re hosting the Christmas dinner this year.
1. The Winter BBQ
In addition to the fact that all men love to build a fire, BBQ is just always delicious. The winter BBQ is also a trend that started last year, and we see no reason not to continue it. Get started with fire pits, string lights, or other colored lamps to illuminate your garden. Provide a wood stove for the female guests, and the Christmas dinner can begin. Serve a delightful glass of mulled wine as an aperitif, and the evening can’t go wrong.
2. Go USA
It’s typically American for everyone to bring something to eat and drink. This way of celebrating parties came over from the ’60s and ’80s. Make sure to distribute it well because while we all love a drink, your stomach also wants something 😉 As the host, you provide the decorations, music, plates, utensils, and glasses. Nicely resolved, isn’t it?
3. Hire a chef
In the past, a private chef was only accessible to the elite, but nowadays, it’s possible in almost every price range to hire a chef to come to your home. This development has led to the trend of dining at home growing rapidly. The pool of available chefs is expanding, and an added advantage is that a chef often prefers to use their own knives, pans, and tableware. In short, no dishes to wash!
4. Old school coziness
Of course, for the Christmas dinner, you can always go back to the old-school way, which is fondue or gourmet. Nowadays, this cozy tradition has many variations. There’s the “pizzagusto,” a miniature pizza oven in which you can bake small pizzas. Kids especially love this pizza gourmet option. Stone grilling is another option, where you use a stone grill instead of a traditional fondue set, or a combination of both. Fondue is a classic choice, whether you go for cheese fondue, broth fondue, or chocolate fondue; the fondue pot can be brought out of the cupboard every Christmas.
5. Spanish Christmas
Christmas is often celebrated with a diverse group: family, in-laws, and friends. To ensure that everyone enjoys the meal, tapas are the ideal solution. Another added advantage is that you can prepare almost everything in advance and still join the table for a pleasant evening on the day itself. Divide the tapas into categories like hot, cold, meat, and fish, and create a cozy and extended dining experience where sangria can flow generously for that extra warmth ;-).
In short, with these creative solutions, you can make the Christmas meal an unforgettable experience for everyone.
