Your thirtieth. It’s the age when your youth officially ends, and you’re officially a man. In theory, at least. None of us want to admit it, but it’s just the way it is. Thirty years old is the point where you really should start acting like an adult ;-). To help you out, we’ve got 14 things that you, as a man, should stop doing after turning 30.
Things to stop doing after your thirtieth:
- Wearing soccer jerseys as casual outfits. This is only acceptable if you’re actually playing soccer.
- Hanging up a poster of a scantily clad woman. No, not even that yellowed limited edition Pamela Anderson poster.
- Eating instant noodles for dinner. Only allowed in extreme emergencies.
- Bringing your dirty laundry to your mother’s house when you go there to eat. Give her a nice perfume, not a stinky sports bag full of laundry. Read our tips on how to do your own laundry 😉
- Sleeping on a friend’s couch. Only if there’s an Uber outage.
- Wearing cheap shoes. Not even if you’re going to a festival. Shoes can make or break your outfit, and women pay close attention to this.
- Getting so drunk on a night out that you’re sick. You may not remember it, but everyone else does.
- Wearing polo shirts with the collar up. You’re not in school anymore, and you’re not on “Ex on the Beach.”
- Giving your penis a nickname. We don’t want to know, especially not your female colleagues.
- Show up at the office with a hickey. A turtleneck might be trendy again, but not in the summer… we know enough.
- Groaning and moaning when you have to bend over. Save that for when you’re in your seventies.
- Forgetting your mother’s or partner’s birthday. These are the most important women in your life! Take them out for a day of shopping, and you’ll be the man.
- Boasting about the drugs you’ve taken. It’s fine to experiment, but don’t bother anyone else with it.
- Wearing light yellow T-shirts that used to be white. A nice white shirt is the most important basic in every man’s wardrobe. Buy a six-pack right away, then at least you can say you’ve achieved that ;-).
