Winter is coming! We have compiled the winter trends of 2023 for you. With these items, you’ll face a warm and trendy winter! It’s time to expand your wardrobe with the best knitwear, unique winter coats, and must-have accessories.
#1. Go Scandinavian
In Scandinavia, it’s cold in the winter. Thick sweaters with folklore patterns and a high collar are worn there. This trend has made a comeback in the Netherlands, and we’re happy about it! These thick sweaters are suitable for a walk, on the ski slope, and especially on a cold winter day with jeans and boots.

#2. The year of the unique winter coat
There are winter coats and winter coats. This year, you’ll be spending more time outside, taking longer walks. So why choose a ‘boring’ winter coat? We’ve listed the trendiest winter coats of this season for you:
- PME Legend 3-in-1 coat: with this coat, you have three coats in one! You have a cool dark blue parka, an orange bomber jacket, and the comfortable combination of these two.
- Didriksons Protect Parka: Didriksons has striking coats in bright colors, eye-catching hoods, and models with lots of pockets. Go for it!
- NZA Kaituna: this coat may look like a toggle coat because of the buttons, but it’s not! It’s a shorter model parka with cool leather elements and a wonderful soft hood.

#3. The cargo!
The cargo jeans is a rugged pair of jeans. You can recognize this style by the pockets on the sides. These jeans are slowly making their way into fashion this winter, so be quick! We understand that you might find it difficult to combine this pair of pants. That’s why we’re highlighting three combination possibilities.
Combination tip 1: wear cargo jeans with a hoodie. This creates a cool street style look.
Combination tip 2: pair cargo jeans with a thick sweater. This can be a Scandinavian sweater or a chunky knit zipper or mocker.
Combination tip 3: take that basic T-shirt out of the closet and pair the cargo jeans with a denim jacket and rugged boots.

#4. Sweater weather
Sweater weather it is! The winter of 2021 is all about vintage sweaters. This means patterns that take you back in time, in retro colors like beige and rust, combined with bold colors. Did you know you can wear a sweater nicely with a shirt underneath? Go for a casual look and choose a denim shirt.

#5. The overshirt with a turtleneck
The overshirt combined with a turtleneck is a hot topic! In winter, a corduroy overshirt or a soft flannel overshirt comes into its own. Complete your outfit with a stylish flat cap.

#6. Knitted accessoiries
A winter hat, you’re either a fan or you’re not. This winter, the hats are a bit smaller than you’re used to, with finer knits. On the other hand, the colors are more striking. Forget about the black or dark blue hat. Go for mustard yellow, burgundy red, or orange this season.
And don’t forget the matching scarf!
