Often enough it happens that certain clothing isn't available in your size. Trousers are often too long and jumpers or shirts too wide, which is why the search for that one well-fitting garment can often be difficult. As a tip, we can recommend a good tailor. So don't be afraid to buy clothing a bit too big. The tailor can easily take it in or shorten it. This way you ensure that the clothing in your wardrobe fits precisely. Taking in the length of your jeans ,jumper or shirts often costs only a few euros, and for that money you can't leave it hanging on the hanger…
Don’t forget the shoes
It's something you don't quickly think of, but shoes also influence your height. How so?
When you choose a clunky/large sneaker or a shoe with a long point, that creates a shrinking effect. therefore we advise you to choose simple leather or suede shoes; a pair of understated or minimalist sneakers will suit you well. For the smart shoe, you're better off choosing a somewhat more rounded model instead of pointed shoes. This way you create less length in your shoe, making you look taller.
"Did you know that you can literally make yourself a good deal taller by choosing shoes with a thicker sole." Yes, really! Suitable Blazers
Indispensable in everyone's wardrobe: the blazer. Of course, you don't go for 'just any' example, but a jacket that's made to measure for you. This deserves a bit more explanation:
- Go for a jacket that falls exactly right on your shoulders, so that you create extra length at your arms and the shape of your shoulders comes out better.
- We also advise you to go for a jacket that's just a bit shorter, so that your legs look a little longer.
- Don't choose a jacket with two rows of buttons, "double-breasted", that unnecessarily makes you look bulkier, but rather a jacket with one or two buttons.
- Wear the top button of your jacket closed, so that your waist is emphasised (always leave the bottom button open).
